Live-In Care

At High Standard Care Limited, our Live-In Care service offers 24-hour support for those who need round-the-clock assistance but wish to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.

Live-in care is a practical and compassionate alternative to residential care. A dedicated carer moves into your home to provide continuous support with daily routines, personal care, household tasks, and companionship — all while respecting your privacy, independence, and lifestyle.

Whether you’re living with a long-term condition, recovering from illness, or simply need regular support, our live-in care is always tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

Typical support includes

  • Help with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
  • Medication management
  • Meal preparation and nutritional support
  • Housekeeping and household chores
  • Companionship and emotional support
  • Overnight monitoring and reassurance
  • Support with hobbies, outings, and social interaction

Our carers are carefully matched to each client to ensure a comfortable and trusting relationship. With live-in care, you or your loved one can enjoy the peace of mind that comes from having reliable, one-to-one support — day and night.

Dementia Support

At High Standard Care Limited, we recognise that dementia affects not just memory, but every part of daily life and can be challenging both for those living with the condition and for those caring for them. Each day brings its own set of needs, so our approach is flexible, respectful, and built around the individual.

Caring for someone with dementia requires patience, consistency, and specialist communication skills. Our carers are trained to provide structured routines and sensitive support that help preserve identity, encourage independence, and promote dignity at every stage.

We believe that everyone deserves to live a full and meaningful life, and we work closely with clients and families to ensure those with dementia can continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes for as long as possible.

Instead of taking over, we encourage individuals to stay involved in their daily tasks and routines. This helps maintain a sense of control and purpose, which can make a significant difference to their overall well-being.

Although our dementia care plans are always tailored to the person, the most commonly requested support includes:

  • Personal care and daily living support
  • Respite care for family members, including live-in or overnight care
  • Support with community engagement, including visits to places of worship, libraries, leisure centres, or shops
  • Helping to maintain current abilities and learning new communication methods
  • Encouragement to continue hobbies such as music, crafts, exercise, cooking, or gardening

All our dementia care staff receive specialist training in Dementia Awareness and Care, equipping them with the understanding and skills needed to support people compassionately through every stage of the condition.

Reablement / Short-Term Care

At High Standard Care Limited, we understand that not everyone needs long-term support. Sometimes, a short burst of care is all that’s needed to get you or your loved one back on track — whether it’s recovering from an illness, surgery, or regaining confidence after a fall.

Our Reablement and Short-Term Care service is designed to support individuals through recovery, helping them regain independence as quickly and safely as possible. Each care package is highly personalised, focused on building strength, confidence, and the skills needed for day-to-day living.

We work closely with healthcare professionals and hospital discharge teams to ensure a smooth and supportive transition from hospital to home. Our goal is to reduce unnecessary readmissions and help you return to your usual routine with dignity and comfort.

Key features of our reablement care include:

  • Support with personal care and mobility
  • Help with everyday tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Assistance with medication and therapy routines
  • Flexible care levels
    adjusted as your condition improves
  • Encouragement to regain confidence and self-reliance

As your health and independence return, our care is gradually reduced, avoiding the need for long-term support unless necessary. This short-term care solution empowers you to take control of your recovery while receiving the right support at the right time.

Our support may include:

  • Managing personal care needs with dignity and respect
  • Pain relief and symptom management
  • Emotional support for both client and family
  • Creating a calm and comforting environment
  • Helping individuals maintain control over how and where they receive care
  • Support with daily tasks and routines

We ensure a consistent team of carers are on hand to build trust and continuity during this sensitive period. Every aspect of our care is guided by the client’s values, beliefs, and medical instructions, ensuring their final days are as comfortable, dignified, and peaceful as possible.

End of Life Care

At High Standard Care Limited, we understand that facing a terminal illness is an incredibly emotional and difficult time — not only for the person affected but also for their family and loved ones. Our goal is to provide compassionate, person-centred care that allows individuals to remain in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by the people and memories they cherish most.

Our End of Life Care team is specially trained to provide sensitive and respectful support during the final stages of life. We work closely with doctors, nurses, and palliative care professionals to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of care, with comfort, dignity, and peace as our priorities.

We aim to ease the physical and emotional burden by offering practical and emotional support, tailored to each individual’s personal wishes and medical needs.
